Antique French Napoleon III Black Lacquer Box with Mother of Pearl Inlay. Absolutely gorgeous. The box shows signs of previous use and wear. There is fading to the gold gilt accent around the bottom of the box, as best shown in pictures #1 thru #8. Pictures #14 thru #17 show the top of the box with "age/wear marks". There is wear to the bottom of the box, as shown in picture #13. There is crazing, as shown best in picture #17. Picture #18 is a picture of the left hinge inside the box. Picture #19 is a picture of the right hinge inside the box. Picture #20 is the inside lid of the box when open, that shows bare wood, that I believe to be missing a piece of metal for the lock. No breaks or repairs. Condition is Used and sold as is. All pictures provided are a part of the item's description. The item pictured above is the item you will receive. This box is stunning. It is old and shows it's age. There is a distinct smell inside of the box (possibly tobacco or lacquer?). Please feel free to ask any questions!
