Antique French Model 1882 Infantry Officer's Sword Saber Sabre With Scabbard:

French Mle 1882 infantry officer sword and scabbard. Horn grip intact except for chipped section near ferrule. Wire wrap on grip 100% complete. Nickel guard and backstrap in nice condition. Blade firm in hilt. Guard has slight lateral movement. Unsharpened blade has dark patina and pitting along forward 2/3rds. Blade sits very securely in scabbard, which has similar patina/pitting. Sword weighs 1 lb 9.6 ozs and blade is 32.75" long.
