19th Century early to mid 1800\'s, this handmade dovetailed and hammered solid copper tea kettle has brass braised dovetail joints. There is a flapover the gooseneck spout and the shapely lid has brass finial. It has a \"Strap\" handle with the number 13 stamped into it which is how the French numbered their pots. I am assuming this isan FRENCH piece because of the stamped number although it has a lot ofsimilarities with Danish tea kettles. It has a pleasing patina and dentsto show its age.
