A very fine example of a bronze Napoleon III mantel clock dating to circa 1860. The clock demonstrates the finest quality of craftsmanship. The front elevation of the clock comprises a large hand painted porcelain panel featuring delicate flowers in various colours. To the centre, the white enamel dial features black hand painted Arabic numerals with outer chapter indicating minute marks alongside a central ormolu pierced rosette. The dial is protected by a thick bevelled glass door encased within an ormolu bezel. The clock is flanked by two pierced grills to each side which are lined with original blue material. The whole raised on a stepped bronze plinth, raised on four scrolled feet and surmounted by a cherubic figure.The eight day single train mechanical movement is signed by the awarded and renowned 19th century clock manufacturer, F Marti. The mechanism is protected by a pierced door lined with original blue material.
The pendulum and winding key are present.

Condition: Overall, the clock is in good working condition. The ormolu is in good condition and retains a very good colour.
