Offered is this beautiful antique Art Deco majolica pitcher.
It has colorful glazing and was made by the Orchies majolica factory in the north of France in the early 1900's- 1930. It is very well marked on the bottom as seen in photo.
The conical body is slightly tapered near themouthedhas astraightangled spout.
It is etched in groups of 6 with vertical ribs on the top.
There is a wide brown and blue band near the base with bluish-green rectangles standing on the diagonal with fan shaped sections molded and glazed brown. A deep red coats the inside.It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
