Description: This Monarch Chicago Oak Antique Wall Telephone from around 1900 is a stunning example of early 20th-century communication technology. The telephone features a beautifully crafted hardwood case, likely made of walnut or oak, with dimensions of 8.75 inches wide, 5 inches deep, and 9.75 inches tall. It has most of its original internal parts intact, including a detailed wiring diagram and an inspection sticker dated 7-28-1941, signed by Workman #13 and Inspector #26.
The phone includes a cast iron movable mouthpiece/microphone, which can be adjusted to accommodate different heights. The mouthpiece protrudes 4.75 inches from the box and is attached to a hinged mount, adding to the phone\'s functionality and charm.
