This is an antique handmade pillow cover from the Edwardian era, made of off white linen with an openwork embroidery design. The pillow cover features an extraordinary insert and was manufactured before 1930. It is a unique and collectible piece of bed and bath linen.

Measuring 28” X 24” lays over a pillow with a flap at one end, like an envelope look. After laying this flat over the pillow, the flap is then turned under to hide the end of pillow. I have shown pictures of the flap in hopes that it explains this better than I do. The pillow covers were commonly use at that period of time. The insert is fabulously done showing a man on a cart with a horse pulling him. Very unique, in excellent condition!
