Antique E & Company NY Fruit Ice Cream Mold Number 272
Details ~ For your consideration is a heavy two-piece hinged Pewter ice cream mold with a fruit design on top.
The mold is extremely solid and marked E & Co. N.Y. on the bottom and bears the number 272 on the top.
Molds of this type were originally created circa 1800 in France. Ice cream is spooned into each side then closed and pressed together to form a dessert with a unique appearance.
Measurements ~ 4 inch diameter; 1.75” height
Condition ~ Pre-owned estate fresh item with no damage to report. Age appropriate wear as photographed.
