Handmade vintage/antique trinket or dresser box, or shadow box frame (if you add a way to hang it), likely made from various parts & pieces, a real folk art feel to this. The frame is wood with some metal inlaid in part of the top edge, what appears to be gilding is some sort of tape, the back is an old piece of beveled wood, likely pine, painted red on the outside with a label inside dated 1910 and writing that appears to be in French. Top is glass, above the gilt area. It\'s 2.5\" tall, 9.75\" long and 8.25\" wide. Various condition depending on the area, some oxidation on the hinges, one top edge is missing the metal inlay and appears to be painted over in white (a long time ago, not very white anymore). The bottom is cracked but looks it was reglued a long time ago and is not in danger of splitting. Opens and closes ok. There is other wear, please see photos for additional condition details.
