Vintage / Antique molded glass beads made in Bohemia better known as the Czech Republic specifically for being traded into Africa in the 1920s-1950's. Among the Fulani women of Mali these trade beads were used during weddings being presented to the bride, hence the name evolved wedding beads. The center tabular blue tear drop bead of the setmeasures 18.16mm long by 12.15mm wide. These beads are worn everyday by some African women and traditionally on their wedding day. This Czech bead setis ingood overall condition with some wear and one bead having a lot of dings.
