Antique Cut Crystal Inkwell with Brass Banding ~ Heavy 19th Century:

This is a beautifully made survivor! It is a 1 3/4\" solid cube of crystal with a blown well. The lid is a brass collar and lid with a good, working hinge at the back. The crystal has bezel edges all around.
The lid of this inkwell is corroded but it can be cleaned up. We have NOT cleaned it, preferring to leave it in the state we found it and let its new owner decide to what level it needs to be cleaned. The collar is very tightly attached to the crystal and the hinge is working and not stuck. The lid sits flat on the collar.
