Antique Complete BAUSCH & LOMB OPTICAL COMPANY. Brass Microscope Kit, Circa 1898- Masterpiece model
- Microscope Serial Number 23243
- Solid brass construction, shows patina, some shallow surface pitting and corrosion. See pics.
- Three objective lenses installed in the turret: 1/6, 2/3, 1.25
- One eyepiece installed: 1\"
- One diaphragmand concentratorinstalled
- Round, rotating stage with two clips
- Fine and course focus knobs
- Light source mirror and fork
Also includes:- Locking Wooden storage / transport case with TWO keys, accessory drawer, cannister rail and handle.
- One brass cannister of immersionoil (still some in there...)
- Two brass cannisters for the 1/6 and 2/3 objective lenses
- One 2\" eyepiece lens
- One pack of Empire brand lens paper
- Several clean glass slides
- One wooden handled fine probe

As best as we can tell, this microscope is complete, ready to use or display as part of your collection. If you plan to use it, yoy may want to thoroughly clean the lenses and lubricate the moving mechanisms. As it stands right now, all of the adjustmentswork smoothly (focus knobs, diaphragm/concentratorelevator, slide clips, lens turret, mirror.
The serial number indicated in the storage box is different from the microscope itself: The scope is S/N 23243, the box label indicates S/N 23143.
Because of the nature of this item, we are going to individually wrap each loose component and pad out the inside of the wooden storage box, to assure this arrives to you in great condition.
