Extremely Rare Antique PATENT 1862 marked Very Early and Important Unique Carpenter Double Claw Hammer in outstanding original condition - truly ultra rare with the Civil War era patent date marking - acquired roughly 20 years ago through the estate of a lifelong 3rd generation master carpenter wood carver and avid woodworking pro, who was also a museum quality and primitive tool collector, it's been part of my personal collection since - collectors can look far and wide and will simply not find another one like it - through our research we find this to possibly be the earliest patent date marking on a double claw hammer in existence - Smithsonian & National Museum of American History quality, or for only the most esteemed of private collections
