Antique Chinese Rose Medallion Tea Set In Wicker Travel Basket w/ Brass Hardware:

Antique Chinese "Rose Medallion" 3 piece tea set in a woven wicker insulated basket with brass hardware.

The porcelain teapot, cup and lid and beautifully hand painted and feature the Rose Medallion pattern.

Late 1800’s

The inside is fitted, insulated and padded to fit the teapot and cup perfectly.

The hinge, handles and hasp are made of brass. All are in good condition. The face plate is missing one mail.

I was told the owner used this everyday to take his tea to work.

The wicker basket is in very good condition with no observed wear or damage. The fabric inside is still fade but in good condition.

Tea kettle is 5” x 5” and tea cup is 2”x2”. Basket measures 9”x6”x6”.

No chips. Inside the teapot, there appears to be a stress line however, it does not go to the outside and I cannot feel it when I run my finger across it. Please see pictures.
