Very unusual Antique Cast Iron Decorative Door Stop or book end. Very Victorian Gothic in style with a Woman’s gloved hand holding a bouquet of roses. The upper piece is attached to the base with a very rusted screw and nut. Approximately 7” Height by 4” Width. I cannot find any identifying marks so it’s origin is a bit of a mystery. It is quite similar in style to other Hubley door stops, but I have not found any other door stops like this one. It is in very good condition for its age. The paint has minimal chipping. The base is a bit loose and could be tightened, but I do not want to stress the screw.
