Antique Cased Collodion Positive ~ 30 Year Old Man in Suit w Facial Hair Suit -The photo has a few light scratches, but no cracking. Some smudges on the side of the photo. The image of the man is still very clear. The case is missing its cover and has peeling and what looks like water damage on the inside. The gold mating has a couple of rust spots. This is an antique and has multiple issues. See pictures for full condition.
I do not have any history of who the man in the picture is or anything. The lady I got it from just had it in her home for decoration and nostalgia purposes. She couldn\'t tell me anything about the gentleman. I\'m guessing his name was John. Or if you want a more interesting name, maybe it was Quillian. He looks like an adventurous fellow. His eyes are really large, so I think he was holding them open for a while trying not to move while the picture was taken. I wonder if he had this picture taken for a sweetheart or if it was one his mother kept. What happened to him? His name and story are lost to history, but it is fun to imagine what his life was like back then.Feel free to ask me any questions!
