Note: This is a cabinet card photo and not a CDV (carte de visite).Cabinet card photos are larger than CDVs and a majority of Jennie Cramer photos were produced in the smaller CDV size.Jennie Cramerwas a 20 year old young lady, whose body was found on the beach of West Haven, Connecticut in August 1881. It was assumed that she had drowned, possibly committed suicide, but it turned out she had been raped and poisoned. A trial was brought up against three different defendants ended in an acquittal.This item has some wear from age with small indention near nose, backboard mount corner crease and entire cabinet photo measures approximately 4 1/4 x 6 1/2 inches.
