This antique cabinet card features a beautiful Marie Joséphine of Savoy, the wife of the Louis XVIII of France. She was a princess of Savoy by birth, became the titular Queen consort, and was known by her title: Her Royal Highness, Countess of Provence (comtesse de Provence). The portrait was originally by the famous artist Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun.
