A prized possessionof German hunters and elite university student corps (fraternities), this oneis a signature Bavarian piece from its unmistakable Bavarian colored rope andtassels, which was hung in a hunter’s lodge, displayed within estates or atelite German university student corps residences.

The buyerwill also receive this rare photograph of three distinguished members of Dusseldorfuniversity’s fencing fraternity. The gentleman in the middle, flanked by twogentlemen with fencing swords, holds a similar, less ornate ceremonial drinkinghorn which is supported around his neck with decorative rope.

Very large, original buffalo horn, with detailed brass fittings and décor at 4points along the horn. Extremely rare that the rope and tassel array is still present,let alone in such wonderful condition.

Condition:The horn is without any discernible damage (just typical signs indicative ofits age), so do refer to the photos and message with any questions.
