Antique Bronze/Brass Advertising Clock-Dial of Hanson Van Winkle Co of Newark NJ:

7 3/4” Diameter & projects approximately 1 5/8” from a wall. The dial face is 1/8” thick and the complete item weighs 2 lbs. 1 oz . The Hanson Van Winkle Company were electroplaters with a home in Newark NJ (see last pic).

On the dial are the words; “Deposit Time Dial”. With the center screw you set the clock arms to any time. My guess is, at the time the electroplating began for a batch, the time was set on the dial. Electroplating may require an acid bath; which is maybe the item is non-ferrous. The dial and hands are NOT electroplated.

The center screw projects out the back as seen in the pic #11.

I have had this item for over 40+ years and never have seen another one like this; one may say “A Rare Find” ?
