This unique and gorgeous 18th - beginning of 19th centuries bronze composition of an angel with painter\'s palette standing in front of an easel, with mirror serving the role of a canvas, is a rare find and presents a perfect gift to a loved one or a great addition to any collection. The angelhas a quiver with arrows on his back, therefore it is a cupid, who is the Roman god of love and desire,painting a portrait of the loved one, making this statue an excellent symbol of love to a person.
Masterfully created and executed in bronze in Romanticism style, this complex composition boastshighest craftsmanship level and an incredibleattention to the detail. Cupid\'spose is hyper realistic andtheatrical, he leans back to look at his painting. The easel represents a work of art in itself, standing on the twisted bird\'s legs holding balls in clenched claws. The top and the sides of the easel are very reminiscent to the Renaissance paintings frames of Raphael and other famous 15-16th centuries Italian painters. The cupid is dressed in the Renaissance period waist tunic. The composition stands on an ornate rectangular base supported by four legs.
