This charming antique sauce tureen from Staffordshire was made by Ridgeway and features beautiful British flower patterns on its blue, white and gilt body. Manufactured in the year 1825, this original piece is a must-have for collectors of Staffordshire.
With a depth of 5 1/2 inches, width of 8 inches and a height of 6 1/2 inches, this tureen was intended to hold a sauce, and the lid has an indentation to accommodate the handle of a ladle. It also sits in a tray-like base.
This item is antique and sold as is. It may show wear, fading, firing imperfections, staining and slight damage. In particular, note crack to tureen, repaired handle on tureen tray base, and damage to the flowers on tureen handle and lid. Examine photos carefully as they are part of the description. Imperfections were factored into pricing.
