These are very unusual antique male and female egg shaped character figure containers,( just lift their hats). Their features are quite detailed and amusing as they seem to be flirting with one another. Once upon a time they were $25 for the pair...who knows where or when they were made. I might guess English as they have a well dressed propriety about them with feathered hat and ruffles and a companion with single spectacle, derby hat, up turned mustache and red tie with vest and coat. They might be just the gift to amuse a love one or colleague.
