Rare Antique American Pewter Deep Dish Charger, 13\" Dia., Thomas Danforth III, Philadelphia, PA. , c. 1806 to 1812. The charger is a very fine example manufactured by one of the finest American pewter families. This is a 13\" Dia. deep dish charger with a single reeded rim with a shallow bowl. There are two impressed marks on the back of the plate with an eagle with \"T.D.\" below it. There is a second straight line maker\'s mark that reads, \"T. DANORTH - PHILADL\". This is the mark of Thomas Danforth III, who worked out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvannia from 1806 to 1812. While in Philadelphia he worked in the same building as Blakeslee Barns.
