For sale today is a fabulous rustic basket comprised of wood root and grapevine. This basket appears to be 1900, is comprised of a wicker bottom and grapevine twigs with some type of root, presumably cypress root decoration nailed to the outside of it. Very rustic, my antique friends tell me it’s Adirondack in style. Measures approximately 16 inches in diameter and 8 inches to the top of the curve of the grapevine. It is in great antique condition. The wicker bottom has been wired in place, the Cypress roots have been nailed to the twigs, and it has been fortified with vine roping throughout. There is some minor breakage to the bottom of the twig wicker bottom. Noted in pictures. Such a fabulous unique basket deserves the right Home. Please see all pictures.
