I think she holds needlecraft/sewing notions or lingerie & accoutrements required for keeping those things secure in the time before elastic. Her hair feels like a woolen animal I’ve only touched a handful of times & sounds silly to think let alone convey to another but… a buffalo. The hair feels like the wooly part of a buffalo. Her arm shows some fray but is in tact & soundly secured to body. Snaps hold the skirt up when not in use and with a steaming I think she’ll plump up some & could be used like a pillow on the bed to hide pjs or slip & stockings.
