A beautiful find from the early 20th century in Bulgaria. It is a heavy linen, hand embroidered tablecloth in the style of the city home fashion but using folklore pattern which normally embellishes the national cloths for centuries. The embroidery is very traditional for the Bulgarian, Greek, Turkish and other nations in the geographic area. Beautiful red cotton or silk threads (not sure) on really heavy linen vase. All hand made with great mastery and attention to detail.
Clean and fresh, only one small spot as seen, probably washable with right treatment! Not proper ironing, if ironed would look even more fabulous.
