Antique 20\" Tall Brass Pricket Candlestick ala 16th Century 1800 Vintage Baroque:

This ornate Spanish baroque style cast brass candlestick dates from the 1800\'s or earlier and features an oversize brass pricket top and baroque details obscured by years of polishing. Measuring 20\" tall (15 1/2\" to 5 3/4\" diameter drip), it has a triangular base set on bun feet that measures 5 3/4\" to each side. The engravings on the base relate to the Holy Family and are mostly obscured as are the hand chased details to the tulip capital on the stem. It is very likely much earlier than the 1800\'s, but the wrought iron center rod joining the cast components has been replaced by a modern rod which makes dating uncertain. There are later drilled holes in the base and it stands a bit off-kilter. The nut on the bottom needs to be tightened properly to firm up and aline the components.
