A gorgeous antique French silk damask. A long panel in it\'s original selvedge width of aprox 20\".Most likely early 19thc range though could be a bit older as were many of the textiles I received in this lovely batch of silks, many in the 18thc time frame. Allacquired from a home clearing in Pont de Barret (Rhone-Alpes) area of France.All incredibly unique fine French textiles which I will be listing individually.This one is strong and stable though does have some aging. A small area of \"clouding\" which may lift if laundered and a second down towards the center that has a split as seen in my longer view photo. There is however, a lot of very good usable silk here for pillow making etc..
