Description:Please find for offer a very fine Vanuatu carved club, dating to the mid 19th century. This club has a finely carved complex head consisting of nodules and sharp geometric edges, set beneath a mushroom shaped top. Elegant tapering shaft to a conical base. This club is an excellent example of its type and has a superb dark colour and patina.
Dimensions:Length: 99.3cm. Width at widest part: 7.5cm.
Condition:Damage/loss to part of the conical base collar area. Small age crack/split to top of head. Small minor knocks consistent with age and use. Age related wear as expected but overall in good condition. Please examine photos carefully.
