India, 19th century, a straight 6 in. steel blade having gilt Arabic inlays to one side; carved horn grip and bolster set with pink ruby collar; the wooden sheath with ornate silver mounts over shagreen and second ruby collar, upper silver mount obverse set with pink rubies and demantoid garnets.
