Available for immediate purchase is this profoundly rare large size,new in box (with original padding and tissue), fully corded with membrane intact, mid-1920s antique, made in Hamburg, Germany, guaranteed originaland authentic, Ylang Ylang perfume splash in an estimated 0.85-ounce (25ml)size by Dralle. Scant Dralle fragrances exist in this larger size as most weresold in 3ml cut glass bottles. The foil paper labels are intact and legible,but a bit aged, on both the face of the presentation box and bottle. The original padding is still intact inside the box. All photoswere taken in natural light at 40x magnification to besthighlight overall item condition. The buyer will receive the exact itempictured.Originally launched in 1924, Ylang Ylang is classified as a floral scent. Dralle’scomplete product line was comprised of floral essences made entirely of pureoil and no alcohol. Dralle’s Ylang Ylang, was made entirely of the oil obtainedfrom the scrumptious yellow flowers harvested from tropical ylang ylang trees.Although made in Germany, Dralle often masqueraded as a French company as allthe ‘best’ fragrances were French.Dralle’s advertising tagline was quite forward-thinking for its day: “Dralle istoo costly to send you a sample.” True to its word, Dralle products were pricy.Its floral essences were commonly sold in tiny, 3ml cut glass, one-drop “Illusion”dauber bottles (to best conserve the exquisitely expensive contents) which werethen housed inside two-piece, polished wood, lighthouse-shaped containers. WhenDralle reached the American market, advertising text contained lines such as, “…themost costly perfume sold in America. Women of refinement find it well worth itsprice.”
