Antique Japanese Card
- Written on back of card: Wishing Bishop Vreiton(?) a Merry Christmas, from George Rust Bedinger. Tokyo, Japan. Xmas. 1902.
- I could not find any information about Bishop Vreiton but there is a lot of information on the internet about the Bedinger family, particularly George Rust Bedinger that served in the Confederate Army and wrote letters to his family. That George Rust Bedinger died at Gettysburg in 1863. According to the Ancestry website, the George Rust Bedinger that wrote this card could have been born in 1880, died in 1945 and is buried in New York.
- This card has a brown tinge and some scattered spots (foxing?) but is otherwise in good antique condition.
Examine photos closely.
