For sale is a great floral plate made by Frankenthal in 1782 . The plate has a nice shape to it with the indents along the rim, a bit of a relief design to the paste along the edge with a gold trim to the edge and some superb hand painted flowers to the plate. The center has a large floral arrangement to it and there are a few different smaller flowers scattered about and even a little leaf. The plate is marked with the CT mark under the crown in under glaze blue as shown, some incised letters and numbers along the foot ring and an under glaze blue 82 for the year mark on the foot itself. The plate is 9.5 inches in diameter and in superb condition with a tiny bit of wear to the gilding.
