On offer here is an antique (dates to 1890) ORIGINAL, \"White Rose Tooth Paste\" Jar or \"pot lid\" as these collector jars are also known.As you can see, the retailer was BREIDENBACH & Co based on New Bond Street LONDON. Biedenbach claimed that some of his products were patronized by the Queen (at that time, Queen Victoria)Breidenbach was a prolific manufacturer of numerous different types of \"toilet\" products....Tooth Paste being the most common of his products category which were marketed...and, of course, he commissioned these delightful containers in which to market his \"wares\".Today there is recorded more than 30 different advertised containers that have been identified, which were produced for this well-known retailer....all recorded in the most recent Reference Book on these type of collectibles.
This \"White Rose Tooth Paste\" offered here, is among the more scarce lids in his (Breidenbach\'s) Tooth Paste category of recorded lids. The lid measures 2 7/8\" in diameter & stands 1 3/8\" high when the lid is on top of the base section, in it\'s normal position.
Nice one for a collection & offered at a fair a reasonable price!
