Antique 1870s Seth Thomas Face & Movement French Figural Spelter Clock.
Operating condition -This piece has been tested and runs nicely had it going for over a day.PLEASE Understand i don't know the service history of this clock so themechanism may need servicing in the future for long term optimal operation.Features - I'm not totally sure what's all going on here with this clock. The construction the back closure latch, the round mechanism and pendulum all scream French made to me but the porcelain face is marked Seth Thomas and mechanism is marked ST (Seth Thomas) Made in US America but its also stamped R Kaiser who is a French maker. I'm not sure if this is a collaboration piece or if the French maker had these Thomas movements imported, which ever the case, this is a quite rare and unique clock. VERY ornate HEAVY spelter metal body - Measures 20" Tall
