Antique 1800’s Red/Warm White Hand Stitched Medallion Quilt Geometric Pattern. This cotton quilt is entirely hand stitched and features complex medallion stitched designs between the red shapes. The design might be based on chalice/goblet shapes or be purely geometric. This antique quilt was made in the 1800’s and is in very good condition for how old it is. The border edges could use new binding/edging and there is some wear on a few of the beige sections. Also, as most antique quilts are not perfect, there are a few stains on the back and a few on the top that could be removed when the quilt is carefully cleaned. I have not washed this quilt. The intricate stitching on this quilt is an example of amazing craftsmanship.
