Do you have an antique Hoosier jar, Pickle, Cookie or Biscuit glass jar with NO LID? RUSTY LID?? That makes your jar almost useless, but also, very low in value.I was in southern NY State attending a liquidation sale at what was a local store down around the Chautauqua area. I was interested in the jars on the shelves containing various bulk commodities like rice, peas, beans etc. There were a number of different sizes, mostly gallon and larger, different shapes and patterns. One thing I also noticed, they all looked like they had the same lid. When I asked about that, the person in charge opened a drawer full of these large size jar lids. The one size fit all the jars on the shelves. I bought both, the jars and all the lids I could find. LID ONLYThis sale is for ONE jar lid in BRAND NEW condition. The lids measure about 4 5/8" across the top and 4 3/4" across the bottom. See the pictures.The jar on the righthas the Hazel Atlas mark Capital "A" under a Capital "H". The pickle jar in the middle has a "I within an “O”. the mark of "Illinois Glass Company". The jar with the ribbed corners is not marked, but I have seen two exactly the same pattern with the "ANCHOR HOCKING" mark,an "H" with an anchor.One other thing.... if you look through all the hoosier jars this size, you might notice so many, different styles & manufacturers, all with the same GREEN LID. There may be some uniformity where the jars were produced with all using the same size lid.I cannot guarantee these lids will fit every jar in this category. But I will say this, from what I saw and bought, these lids will probably fit most jars described here. With a fitting jar lid, your precious Hoosier or whatever jar now becomes a useful storage container. It also adds to the value of your fine antique piece. The only color available is white, but there are lots of colors of spray paint out there. Knock yourself out! All sales are final. No refunds or returns if they don't fit.
