Ambrotype of young girl in a Gutta Percha case:

This is a lovely photo of a seated young girl. She is dressed in a frilly off the shoulder frock which has many ruffles. Her hair appears to be in ringlets and her cheeks are tinted. In one hand she is holding a ball. The photograph has a brass surround. The surround does not fit snugly so I employed a museum quality putty to hold it in place. She is housed in a leather case with a red silky material on the opposite side. The case measures 3 1/2 inches tall by 3 1/8 inches wide.
