After years of passionately collecting The Amazing Spider‐Man comic series since my youth, the time has come for me to reluctantly part ways with my complete collection spanning from issue #3 to #400. I’ve enjoyed my collection for all these years, but it is now time to pass them on to someone who collects and can enjoy them as much as I have. I hope these comics find a new home among enthusiasts who will continue to treasure and celebrate the incredible legacy of The Amazing Spider‐Man. It\'s time for an update: After over six months, I’ve whittled my collection down a bit. I used to have every issue from #3 to 400. Many were and are in Fine and V. Fine condition; others were obviously read and enjoyed. It’s time for an update. Many of the 1st 100 issues have been sold, particularly the first 40 books. There are still quite a few issues from 51 to 99, and I’ll continue to list them. Issues 101 to 120 are gone, but from 130 to 200 are still mostly available. This is a very early book, #11, featuring the Return of Doctor Octopus. I sent it off for grading and was surprised to find it came back with a restoration grade, CGC 7.5.When I purchased the book in the early 90s, the seller did not indicate to me that it was a restored issue; I am unsure if he knew or not. Nonetheless, in keeping with my commitment to full transparency,I’m advising that this book does have a 7.5 grade with Restoration. I have an image with the notes from the grader: The notes indicate:Restoration includes a small amount of color touch on cover, tear seal to cover, cover reinforced.
The book does have a notation of white pages, so that’s a plus. If you need this book to fill a spot in your collection and the restoration grade is not a deterrent, by all means, offer on it. However, if the restoration grade is a non‐starter, please don’t offer on it; leave it for a collector who needs the book for their collection. For reference purposes only, I’ve indicated the GPAnalysis valuation for a book with a 7.5 CGC grade.
