ONE OF A KIND PIECE OF POST WWII HISTORY

This is an Amazing 1946 Armed Forces Radio Service (AFRS) Souvenir Edition "Cruise News" aboard the US Army Transport Ship General H. B. Freeman. This was acquired from the estate of the gentleman who sailed aboard her in 1946 on his way to Korea. He was a United States Naval officer and attached his hand written notes documenting his daily activities while on board.

This is in amazing condition for its age with normal discoloration of the paper

There are a total of 5 double sided pages.

The booklet appears to have been torn across the bottom left corner but the cover was repaired with clear tape (see photos)

The tear goes through the entire booklet but not all the way across which allowed nothing to become completely detached

The back cover was torn in the same area (much smaller) and was also secured using clear tape

Booklet measures 8" x 10.5"
