Condition: Rich tonal image, sharp and clean, lightly rubbed, mount is lightly soiled front/back, rubbed along edges with one tiny chip.

Other: Fine architectural view of the ruins of Bolton Abbey in the Yorkshires of England by Scottish photographer James

Valentine. Along with his sons William Dobson Valentine and

George Dobson Valentine, he operated one of the most successful

photo houses in Scotland. Valentine views are exceptional for both

their aesthetic compositional presence as well as their technical

quality.
