Antique Advertising Stoneware Monmouth-Western Rolling Pin Rust Band THOMAS - BRUSH & HAMLIN - Albion, IOWA

Advertising stoneware rare triple rust banded rolling pin made by Western Stoneware Company located in Monmouth, Illinois for the Thomas-Brush & Hamlin general merchandise store in Albion, Iowa. According to the \"Western Stoneware Co. Factory Orders For Stenciled Advertising Rolling Pins 1915-1953\" catalog, the store placed an order of 200 of these rolling pins on December 16th, 1915. How many of these pins that actually survived is unknown. However, through research it appears that this is very a scarce one and rarely offered.

Condition:
In very good condition. Some crazing throughout to be expected and is consistent with age. There is a tiny little glaze pop on one edge. No cracks, chips or repairs. Some markings/rashes on the one edge are natural from the making. If there are any other flaws/imperfections in the stoneware such as glaze/paint skips and glaze pops etc. they are natural from the making also. Handles have a nice natural patina and function properly. One handle has a crack line from age on the wood as shown in the picture but does not affect the function of the handles in any way. Comes as seen and as made.
