I purchased two large chunks or cullets of GORGEOUS sherbert lime green colored glass that I believe could be from the defunct and long gone Westmoreland Glass Factory of Grapeville, Pennsylvania.

I am listing each one individually. This piece is gorgeous in natural light and it’s doubly gorgeous under a black light as it glows such a neon lime green because of the amount of uranium that is in the glass! Don’t worry, it’s not nearly enough to kill you! This piece weighs just under 14 pounds and the dimensions are 12 inches long by 6 inches wide by 6 1/2 inches high. It is so cool! In my listing, I am including a few pictures of pieces made by Westmoreland glass company where you can see the green and white glass that they were known for, and I’m also including a picture of the glass that was lying around the factory when it went out of business in 1984. Because of the glass that they produced there, that is why I think that this large cullet of glass came from that factory! Please be aware that this is my assumption -I am not an expert!

These glass chunks belonged to an artisan who would cut up pieces of glass and make her own mosaics and made tiles with minute pieces of glass that she had gathered from all over. She may have acquired these cullets from the glass factory itself.

Please note: there are pointy edges on this piece of glass. It has not had anything rounded or polished, and also be aware that the purple glow is coming from the white milk glass that is mixed in and that is just a reflection of my little black light flashlight. The “glow color” is the neon green!
