This large limited edition print #93 of 850 was commissioned in 1989 by Brian "Bic" Healey from a painting done by Roy Nockolds for Bic's father, Donald M. Healey, to commemorate Donald Healey's 200 MPH run at the Bonneville salt flats in 1956.
Measures 31" wide by 24" high.The original painting is shownon page 41 of the Healey biography,"My World of Cars"in a photograph taken at the Healey home, along with Donald Healey's trophy collection.The print comes with a copy of the USAC certificate documenting Healey's accomplishment. Measures 8 1/4" by 11 3/4" (see listing photo).
This print, #93 of 850, was never sold because of two areas with flaws. One is in the image itself on the right side (see tape mark and white spot) and the other is in the upper right corner of the white border. Both areas are shown in the listing photos.Otherwise the print is in excellent condition.The print is stunning, historic and very rare.
buyers should keep the flaws in mind when offerding. The "Buy It Now" price takes the flaws into consideration.
This is the very last of the prints Bic Healey brought to the U.S. in the 1990's to be sold. When this one is sold Bic Healey's 1989 project will come to an end.
