ANTIQUE VINTAGE INDIAN WOODEN HOME HINDU TEMPLE/SHRINE/ALTAR MANDIR
Condition –A stunning unique piece, this wonderful wooden temple, circa 1900, would have seen use in a home. A Hindu deity would have been prominently placed within, and offerings would have been added both daily, and on auspicious days and festivals. It is an architectural shrine in miniature, with a stepped base, two finely detailed, carved pillars, supporting a mehrab arch, and a canopied roof with additional carved details and top balustrade. With lovely original bright paintwork, and gorgeous colouring. A rare and beautifully decorative find.
