This is an antique, exceptional and sublime hand carved meerschaum pipe with the shape or a horse head and its original leather box. With original amber stem and sterling silver rings. Incredibly realistic and highly detailed. You can see the asymmetrical posture of the head slightly oriented to the left, the spirited expression, the skull structure, muscles, veins, teeth (even some missing teeth made in purpose by the artist to give to this small sculpture even more realism) and the tongue. This fabulous pipe has been made by G. W. Moller (Europas Weltgeschaft) in Berlin, Germany, during the second half of 19th century. Excellent original & pre owned condition with patina consistent with age (see pictures) . A really exquisite and exceptionally carved meerschaum pipe for demanding collectors.
