CIRCA 19THC. OPULENT HAND MADE BRUGE LACE SHAWL W/BOWS,IRIS,FLOWERS.

A rare handmade Bruge large cape shawl made with a ornate bold design of bows, and flowers.There are large vignettes filled with Iris flowers and meandering vines throughout the shawl with other flowers.I have not seen a piece like this before and so itcertainly is a rare piece probably specially made for a client during the 19THC. This could be used a a cape or could be used as a veil or possibly made into a dress without cutting it of course. The cape is in very good strong condition, it seems as if it was rarely used.
