Description: CIRCA 1880- 1900's, Quite a lovely design on this creamy ecru Brussels Princess lace bedspread…this has a very ornate design and is almost entirely covered with fine work.The bedspread measures approx. 62-65" by 92-95" and the bedsread has three large flounces that measure approx. 15" wide. The color is a creamy ecru , the pictures make it look whiter.Use cold water to retain the color or if one did want the item lighter then soaking in hot water and suds will bring it up.Lace was not dyed in those days. items were tea or coffee dipped. Except for silks… most lace made with cotton or flax threads can be bought up whiter. In mainly good strong condition, there are some scattered openings,a few repairs and one 7" repair on edge of flounce. The overall condition is strong and good.One can easily use as bedspread or of course there is a massive amount of lace as the flounces themselves have a lot of volume.The Florals are very nice and there is scattered Point De Esprit on this piece.
