beautiful antique French cobalt blue Sevres cup and saucer decorated with a hand painted scene of Napoleon Bonaparte and his army defeating the Prussian forces at the battle of Jena located in today's Germany in 1806. Extensive gold highlights and an ornate handle accent the painting. The cup is artist signed Guillon. The set is in pristine condition with no chips, cracks or wear.All bright areas are merely light reflections off the shiny glaze. Both pieces are marked M.
